Starrider – Grimsby’s Comics and Sci-Fi Collectables store is hosting FREE COMIC BOOK DAY on Saturday 2nd May.

This is an international event where the major publishers produce comics especially for this day to be given away free of charge. There will be 18 different titles available on the day including Spider-Man, Transformers, X-Men, Predator, Masters of the Universe, Conan, Sonic the Hedgehog and more. There will also be various special offers on comics and related product.

Free Comic Book Day titles will be available on a first come first served basis.

The North Lincs Art Society are delighted to hold their Annual Art Exhibition in the lovely St Margaret’s Church, Laceby DN37 7HU


There will be a large display of artwork available for sale along with greeting cards and prints. Free entry.

Opening times:
10am – 4pm Tuesday 28th April through to Friday 1st May
10am – 3pm Saturday 2nd May

You Are MY Sunshine / You are OUR Sunshine

Free drop-in session with artist Sarah Allen for all ages as part of HELIOS exhibition on this date.

You are invited to create your own ‘sun circles’ reflecting on your personal connection to the sun – through drawing, painting, collage or writing.

The creative pieces will be collected and combined into a final artwork called You are OUR Sunshine.
